So I'm buying an 05 4.0l 6spd TJ from my brother. He has been droving it around in limp mode with code P2305 secondary ignition coil. The owners prior to him had replaced the coil rail, coil rail connector, and PCM with a Cardone one and told him that the VIN just needed to be program which is obviously a load of BS. I downloaded the FSMs and followed all the Diag charts and have narrowed it down to the PCM internally leaking voltage into the #2 coil wire which I believe is actually supposed to be a ground for that individual coil. I already unwrapped and went through the harness and PCM connector and replaced the spark plugs (factory NGK), coil rail (Delphi brand), and redid their wiring for the coil rail connector. Any idea of anything else that might cause this besides a bad PCM?
