Swapping everything from a 2001 TJ to a 2003 Frame

I recently wrecked my jeep tj and bent the frame i keep coming across frames for the 2003 frame style i am trying to get and understanding of What would need to be changed in order to swap a everything off my 2001 TJ frame and put it onto and 2003 frame i have the 4.0 with the 5 speed manual

Is yours a 6-cylinder or 4-cylinder? Which transmission? How about the frames you're looking at?

Engine mounts will need to be cut and welded if you're going between a 6-cylinder and 4-cylinder.

Some items to check from things I've run across. From looking at hydro-assist, I know the steering box changed in 2003. Skid section of the Barnes long arm is different at that year change, so there's a change in the skid/tcase mount area.

Well the steering box is for sure different between the 97-02 frames and the 03-06 frames. Engine mounts between 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder models are different as well.

The tough one is going to be the belly skid but since they used the NV3550 in 03 and 04, it should be as simple as getting the correct transmission mount adapter. Most folks call the metal bracket that bolts to the transmission, the transmission mount. It isn't, it is the mount adapter. The transmission mount is the same from 97-06 and contains the rubber isolation element. After that, just have to figure out the exhaust hanger or fab one to work with the new mount adapter.

The reason you "should" need that stuff is the 03-06 belly skids are different than the 97-02 and you'll need something that lets you bolt the transmission mount to the skid.

The rest should be pretty easy.

so What i am gathering from this, is that my 6-cylinder motor will go right into a 2003 frame and i will need a different transmission mount in order to get my transmission to mount onto the 2003 skid. since the 2003 steering box location is different from the 2001 will i need different steering components or will they fit aswell. I also have a 4in rough country lift on the jeep and am wanting to put it onto the new frame are there any differences there? Thanks for all the help!

There are only 4 differences related to the steering gear.
1- a single mounting bolt sleeve in the frame is in a slightly different location.
2-steering gear is shorter so the 03-06 have a longer lower steering shaft.
3- pressure hose is different due to different locations of the ports on the 03-06.
4- return hose is different due to different locations of the ports on the 03-06.

Unless you want to cut and weld to relocate the sleeve, then you'll need the 03-06 lower steering shaft, steering gear, and hoses.

No, as I explained, the transmission mounts are the same from 97-06. The transmission mount adapters are different.

Pitman, draglink, tie rod, etc. for all the steering links are the same.

Frames are interchangeable in that regard.
