Tilt and slide seat?

I just noticed our 01 TJ seat(s) tilt and then lift and go forward more yet. We've had about a month and just last night was the first time the drivers seat went forward like that. Passenger seat still won't, it just tilts but has same bracket it appears.

My guess is it hasn't been done in ages and is just sticky. I tried lifting on the bar to no avail and sprayed some white grease on the joint to try to brake it loose. Thought about using PB blaster, but it smells Soooo bad and it's my daughter's and she won't want that smell.

Any insight here?

There’s a tab on the upper seat back you pull out on, it’s up by where you shoulder would be, on the side closest to the door.
When you pull it out, the seat will tilt and slide forward.

Some have that feature on the drivers side seat, most have it on the passenger side, to give access to the rear seats.

Some people find the previous owners have broken the release strap off and they can’t find the pull tab.

The tab is there. Not a strap. The back tilts forward, the bottom slides forward, but doesn't lift.

Mine needed a little lubrication, and to be worked back and forth.

to get my passenger seat to tumble forward there is a second lever under the seat you have to press down other than the one that lets you adjust how far forward it is
