Time for oil pump?

Am preparing to do the oil pan/rear main seal process, is it wise to consider a new oil pump at this time?

Oil pump is no where near the work area that you need to clean the oil pan. Maybe oil filter.

I do plan on the filter change, only have a couple thousand on it but will swap it anyway.

I think OPDA is more of your concern if you really want to change something oil related mechanism. The RMS is very sensitive on mine. I changed it but came back in a couple of years.
