Excuse me if this is the wrong place to post this. I just joined again after about a ten year leave of absents. Anyway, I have BFGoodrich All Terrains on my 3 inch lift Tj Sport with 15x8 aluminum wheels. They are 32x11.50 - 15. They have more than half the tread left but are ten years old and are cracking between the treads. Everyone, tire companies, say they will not touch these tires if they go flat because of their age, (I just found one down to 5lbs).
So I'm looking for tires. I don't need them but I am looking at mud terrains because at 65 they will out live me so why not have the look? Here's the thing, I've been reading on this and other forums that 33x12.50's on an 8 inch wide rim works but most of the tire shops in my area will not install them because they show 8.5-11 inch wide wheels. America's tire for some reason shows 7.5-11 so I think I will go there.
I'm looking at Mickey Thompson Baja ATZP3 and BFGoodrich Mud Terrain K03. Going to be used mostly on pavement, some snow, forest roads. I may also sell soon so that's why the look. Any preferences on tires or what fits a 15x8 inch rim? Thank you.
