I had the same Sahara as you. 2000, green, manual. Nice shape with 57k miles. I listed it last week and it sold in less than two days. The 2000 Forest Green Saharas seem to be the sweet spot in the eyes of an enthusiast.
TJ market is stupid high, almost like they’re becoming a cult classic. I didn’t need the money, but I wanted it on the chance we fall into another economic collapse. Cash is king and odds are I can score something nice in the next year as people are offloading their extra toys.
If you can live without a Jeep for awhile I’d say go for it. TJ value will tank during another crash and it’ll never come back up to where it is now.
I purchased this last year to flat tow and drive on some of the CRs in Colorado. It was higher mileage than I wanted but it was a one owner and lived in the San Antonio area. Runs great, no rust, uses no oil, exhaust in good shape. Soooo, after rebuilding the Tcase & Transmission, new plugs, new tires, new swaybar links, new shocks & tires, and water pump, it drives great and straight.
Now I've had too much time on my hands and keep looking for god knows what. The Golden Jeep??
