Tracking down a belt squeal / squeak

Did you solve this? I have the same issue, also after replacing waterpump. Belt seems slightly looser than I remember before I started... but that was a week ago.

Never mind, this was my bad. I had the Serpentine Belt on the wrong path!!! I'm glad I didn't try to drive it like this.

Don't rule out a bad clutch fan either. Oddest problem I had was tracing a squeal that I thought was my OPDA. I replaced the idle and tensioner pulley, water pump, steering pump and bypassed the AC Compressor and still had the noise. In the end it was the clutch fan. Bought the recommended Hayden you can find here, but it failed a year later. Replaced with an Autozone (end up it was a made in America part in the box) and it's been fine for years since. Only plus is the squeal had me replace my OPDA with the Crown, and purchase an extra Crown I didn't need.
