Transfer Case Fluid Change-Fluid Inspection

Hey, so I just changed the Transfer Case Fluid and after draining all the old fluid out, I noticed strands of something on the threads of the plug. I pulled what I could out with some needle nose pliers, I'm nervous because it appears to be strands of RTV like material( gasket?). So, I guess my real question is how screwed am I know? And what can it be/from? Thanks for any advice.

Looks like excess RTV that came loose from the inside of the mid-case RTV seal. If the case isn't leaking I'd run it.

Yeah, no leaks..yet

Not an issue unless the oil pump screen is plugged with rtv...the only way to know would be disassembly..it it were mine I would run it and not worry
