I need to replace the t-case on a 03 TJ with a 2.4L and a NV1500. Will a 231J out a 4.0L NV 3550 bolt up in it's place? I know both the NV1500 & NV 3550 both have 23 splines. Does anyone know if the shaft is the same length on both?

Depending on the age of the transmission, you could simply swap it with an AX-15, which would outlast the rest of the car on a 2.4. They can be bought brand new with adapters for the 4 cylinder engines.
