For anyone that owns one, were you able to get a discount through anyone? I called Tuffy and they said they do not offer discounts, nor have Black Friday sales, as it upsets their vendors. They told me to call Quadratec or Morris 4X4...Morris has a $30 off coupon but we know they suck balls as a vendor, so looking for other options if you know of any?

Try Northridge 4x4. Free shipping for purchases over $70 and they regularly have sales or publish discount codes.

Thanks but Northridge is more expensive than the other vendors, and these vendors all have free shipping. Currently Morris 4x4 has the best price with their $30 off $300 purchase, plus free shipping, but Morris is pretty bad at selling items these days that the $30 savings may not be worth the headache.

Time to call the company you would prefer to do business with and ask them if they will price match the lowest price you have found.

Based on recent reports, I would suggest removing Morris 4x4 from your list of telephone numbers, but I would have no compunction about using their best price in a price matching discussion with someone else.

IO rifled through Google and found a 5% coupon for Northridge that worked, plus Tuffy has a $25 rebate. I really want to get the price into the $300's, mentally more tolerable than the $400+.

Called Northridge and they will only give out a 5% off coupon for Tuffy.

Deal with Tuffy direct if you can. They are a good company. They'll put you in the system, cut you keys in the future that match and re-key new stuff if you need it. It is money really well spent, they are good guys.

I spoke to them and they told me to call Quadratec and they do not discount due to their vendors complaining.

Unfortunately Morris 4x4 has the best price, 10% off and free shipping. Plus they have, like others, the lowest advertised price on the internet.

Did you telephone Northridge 4x4? They usually price match. That way you can get the Morris price without having to deal with Morris.

As far as Tuffy customer service is concerned - they will be just as helpful if you purchase from an authorized dealer as if you purchase direct. They sent new matching keys for my CJ console and side boxes at no charge even though I had purchased the side boxes from a vendor who had subsequently closed shop and I couldn't find my receipt. Who does that?

I have both the security glove box and the security trunk. And love them both. Makes things so easy to carry. That I normally would not leave in my soft top Jeep. At first it was annoying to use the key on the glove box everytime I stopped to stow my stereo faceplate. But after awhile it becomes second nature.

I'll have to call them for some extra keys. ;)

I understand wanting to get the best price, do what's right for you. It has worked out well for me but I've got a few things from them.

Thanks guys. Just trying to find the best price and calling Northridge is probably the way to go. Will try that tomorrow or Monday.

Tuffy currently has a rebate going so that helps out with net price.

Hi Skrelnik, I have a 2001 Tj with the Agate interior and contemplating replacing my OEM console because of broken interior tray. In addition, would like to replace my factory subwoofer with either the Alpine PWE-S8 or Rockford Fosgate PS-8 and I am hoping the Tuffy console might be slightly bigger than the OEM. I am interested in where you find the best price, if you purchase the full or just rear half and if you or anyone else has a suggestion which Tufffy console color complements the factory Agate color? Thanks.

That is a great call, and I intend to do something similar except with a 8" shallow mount sub in a box.

I am going with black as I heard the grey one looks kind of blueish, and black goes with everything.

I'll reply here after I give a call to Northridge on Monday.

BTW: As you probably already know the Tuffy 066 console is back ordered until October. I did find a few in stock at Autoplicity. However, I ended up returning it because with the subwoofer, it really did not provide $400+ worth storage. Its too bad the inside tray in not removable. If you end up replacing your center console, I would be very interested purchasing your OEM console.

I actually to buy one, the 066, and it is coming on Tuesday. Tuffy told me they sent a bunch of units to Quadratec so call them to order. I did and they matched Morris 4x4's 10% off, so great deal.

That's good feedback on the storage, but I wanted the center console for looks, strength and audio. Storage is okay, but not the main priority, and appreciate the feedback.

I will have my center console available, but I don't have the inside subwoofer insert as I sent that to another member.

If you are interested in just the outside we can talk about that next week after I get the Tuffy one installed.
