Been chasing a vacuum leak on this 2002 4cyl 2.5 Wrangler for some time. I have been experiencing high idle of 1200 to 1800 rpm when the engine warms up. Originally the jeep kept throwing the code for bad idle air control valve. Went through all of the threads that said clean it, did that with no change. Bought a new one, Which brought the idle down a little bit but now I believe there is another issue. When I put the Jeep in park and pump the brakes the idle goes higher with every pump. Could this be the brake booster or just the brake booster check valve? Should I just replace both as this could be a major safety issue? Vacuum leaks are the worst to try to hunt down.
