hey all,
Few days ago my jeep started to develop vibration while under acceleration. Its noticeable the most from about 10-20 mph and disappears when you let off. However it is still persistent at just about all speeds. Just for good measure I replaced the u-joints thinking that was the problem, but problem persists.

It is a lifted jeep but I've had it in it's current state for over a year and this problem developed last week. Don't want to keep driving it with that amount of vibration.....the dash shakes and you can feel it in your seat. Any ideas on what to check next? The fact that it was non-existent until a few days ago and I've done zero off-roading in the last 2 months is what has me puzzled. Thanks in advance

A few questions... does your TJ have adjustable length control arms in the rear? Is your rear driveshaft the factory driveshaft or an aftermarket double-cardan (CV) driveshaft?

Are you able to post a picture taken from the side that shows the entire driveshaft, and axle in one photo? So we can see the angle of the axle in relationship to the driveshaft.

Does not have adjustable control arms, still has factory driveshaft. Looking to do SYE and at least adjustable uppers or lowers, but the pandemic kinda put the pinch on finances. I actually am not home at the moment so I'm unable to post photos at the moment. Im just wondering why it would develop out of nowhere with no aggressive driving preceding it.....do these things just crop up like that?

Best image I could have the old lady take while I was gone from home. I know just by eye balling the angles are less than ideal, but I've had no problems like this until now and nothing has changed except now I get the aforementioned vibration. I should add it does have a t-case drop kit already.

Do you have the full weight of the Jeep on the suspension in that pic? If so it looks like your pinion angel is off but I forget how much angle the stock drive shaft can take.

Sorry Jerry I responded but forgot to tag you

Yes full weight of jeep is on the suspension. I know the angle isn't perfect, but the burning question is why would this problem not have arisen before? I would think the vibrations would have been present all along if pinion angle was the problem
