All Hail the Rubicon Pioneers! I did the Rubicon with some friends back in 1990 (which was yesterday afternoon compared to these guys). I was driving a stock '76 CJ-5, my buddies had stock Toyota FJ40's. The basic tactic was much the same as in the video: if you didn't make it on the first try, back up and hit it with more speed. Repeat until you either made it over the top or rolled your vehicle on its side. Made it all the way, had a blast doing it, only bent a little bit of metal. Couldn't walk for three days afterwards, but it was worth it.

Would be neat to gather up some old Jeeps like those and have a "vintage run" on the Rubicon.
