I picked up an 01 TJ to mess around with. The sides of the factory front seats have the vinyl strip around the door facing portion and have tears/cracks in them. The drivers side is to the point where it will need to have that vinyl strip replaced. The passenger side has a single crack/opening going from top to bottom (see pic). Has anyone had any success is doing a vinyl repair on something like that?

My seats (2001) are cracked just like yours. I bought some extra stretchy vinyl and am going to try to replace the panels myself. I'll post up my results whenever I get around to doing the repair. I did inquire at a local auto-upholstery shop and they wanted about $100 to do each seat. Good luck with yours...
Thanks. The pic of the passenger seat I posted is the side that’s in the best condition. The drivers side is a lot worse. I saw someone online with a repair hack on a trail Jeep use an iron on logo patch to put over a crack like that but I’m not ready to go that route yet.
Watching to see what others have to offer. I have the same problem. To buy myself some time, I used a small vinyl patch. It's keeping things where they are for now, but doesn't look great.
