I know this has been hashed out thousands of times, but I've not seen any pics on it. I'm finally having the P0340 code a year after replacing the cam positioning sensor months ago. It is stupid cold here and when I start on cold engine I get the code. Once it warms up and I clear the code it doesn't come on again until a cold start up. I've read that some put an additional washer in somewhere to space the sensor, and this has helped with the cold startup problem.

Has anybody done this with success? If so could you please post a pic of exactly where you put the washer and it's size so i can give it a try. Greatly appreciated...
2005 4.0L 6 speed Rubi. BTW I had to replace the factory sensor on the way home from Colorado in August of 2020. I used a "Standard" brand from Oreilly's I bought in Gunnison. I've had no problems with it since until now....Has to be the cold weather we are having, been in the single digits and teens lately.

Thanks all.
