Well, that was exciting!

So it's been raining a lot here today - flash flooding, standing water on roads, etc.

So I decided to use 4H on the way home today. Worked pretty damn well - plowed through the water, never lost traction.

Until I tried to go around this one corner...

Thankfully it was a left hander. I started to turn, was going about 32 (speed limit is 35) and about a quarter turn of the wheel and I felt the front let go and started understeering.

Dabbed the brakes to slow 'er down and got back under control - after I went up on the curb with my right front. lol

After that, I put it back in 2H and drove it that way the rest of the way home.

Gonna have to remember that corner and keep her in 2H. lol

Right. What happened was that due to the slippery conditions the Jeep actually lost traction momentarily from being in be 4wd while making a turn. That is the drawback of our full time 4wd while on pavement.
