Went from stock tj sport tires/rims to grizlee and 31's

My brakes feel like there isnt as much stopping power now that the new tires and rims are on. I had stock sport rims(steel) size 15 with i think 29 inch tires to grizlee rims which are the aluminum premium rims for jeep wrangler with a set of 31's. Is this in my head or is something esle going on? what can i do to get back my stopping power?

Larger tires will decrease braking power incrementally. 31's shouldn't have a huge effect on the stock brakes. How many miles are on them? It could be that they need replacing and the larger tires are exposing them.

Definitely not in your head. Bigger wheels / tires will do that.

Absolute best thing you can do is get some Black Magic break pads from @mrblaine

I kid you not, for the money, you won't find anything out there that will improve your stopping power better than the Black Magic break pads.
