I've been looking for a hard top for my LJ for quite a while. I see one not even very close to me but in great shape in grey. I'm looking for black. This one seems to be in a color I have not seen before.
What color did factory LJ hardtops come in?

I believe Khaki (Grey) and Black are the only 2 colors from the factory.

That makes more sense because I cant believe this one is Khaki or Black. Has to be med gray.

Why is a white hardtop not an option unless the Jeep came from the factory painted white with color matching white fender flares? Didn't CJ's back in the day come with white hardtops while they had black fender flares and bumpers? Since white is a neutral color would a white hardtop really look that bad on a Jeep regardless of what color it is painted? Must be the fact that these days most people prefer black so the demand for white hardtops is too low for production.?
The first and last picture look dark probably because its in the shade. The second picture looks alot like my dark khaki hardtop.
