What did they even fix

All this said i will never ever sign with Safe co. Insurance. They did everything so slow and tried to blame me for the accident every step of the way.
Insurance companies readily take your check, and regularly, I might add, but are very reticent to give you one! Isn't that what they're supposed to do? Crazy we let them get away with highway robbery....

The bigger the claim, the more they invest in an out. Have friend almost killed in Canada. She should have died. She survived. 10 years to get the settlement. The insurer prayed she would die. Loss of body organs, wheel chair ridden for years. loss of voice.... eventually the judge told them to come to court tomorrow ready to write a cheque... or be prepared for jail.

We talk about pennies. All insurers look for an out after the claim.

On another note, carrying the minimum is suicide. A school buddy turned left across oncoming traffic. His Grade 11 girlfriend was paralyzed, in a wheel chair for life. No fault to her family they sued for $200K. This was `1970. He had the minimum. $100K coverage. She won,,,, thank god. But he was on the hook to pay off the other $100K.... this was 1970 when students earned $2//hour. Do the math.

If your kids are about to start driving? Do the math.

This! We were sued over a car accident several years ago- it was total fraud- but it made us realize that our basic insurance coverage was unsatisfactory. The suit was dismissed (did I mention it was fraud? Yeah... still mad), but we realized any lawsuit as a result of an accident could leave us in really bad shape for a really long time. We increased our coverage significantly after that.

Ugh, this sounds miserable! Hang in there! It would be pretty funny to see someone driving around in a rental Fiat or something with no doors. Heh.

This is my rental....... i currently hate my life while i drive. Rides like a brick, really doesnt get that much better gas millage than my jeep(at least how im driving the thing... i mean im just try to keep myself entertained), is slower than a mule and about as responsive as well.

And dont tempt me with the doors thing.....

Also....... did i mention its a 3 DOOR "SEDAN"!!!!!!!

Its like they couldnt make up their mind weather it would b a coupe or sedan, so some smart ass remarked "why not give it three doors". so they slapped an exttra door on the passenger side.

Yikes. I'm not sure if this is better or worse than a Fiat... how long is your Jeep in for?

Life is too short to drive boring, 3-doored cars. Hope the Jeep turns out nice. Check everything over real good before leaving! My .02c

So today i got my jeep back. 1. not on time again. 2. tailgate bar not replaced just repair(estimate says replace) 3. No paper work of the repairs made(il be changing that) 4. I had to wait forever to have an insurance adjuster come out to look at "frame damage" and upon inspection i cant find a dang thing on the frame thats changed. that said im not an expert, so im here for opinions about what to look for when looking at the frame to find the "repair".
HELP!!!

I'd start by measuring the frame to make sure it is square. Someone on here has to know how to do that!

Well, for one, you should have been provided with a printout of the frame repairs showing what they pulled and where, and by how much. You may not see much evidence of a frame pull, but look for clamping marks on the frame rails. They have to clamp the jeep down on the frame machine and jig it up to get a centerline and then measure the frame.

Ill make sure to ask for those when i get paper work. When i was checking the frame its just as dusty and dirty as when i brought it in (thinking they would clean it at least where they had to do the repairs. i never thought about clamp marks but the only smudges i noticed where dirt was brushed off was where i grabbed it while i was climbing under.

Update.

Tailgate does not latch all the way.

Tailgate does not appear to be new. I have a hard time thinking that it was repaired because of all the damage but i have the same freaking dents in the gate now as i did then.

Metal shavings left in my jeep lead me to inspect the seat bracket that the said they "custom repaired". bracket is just a warped as ever. it reclines now but when you pull up on the lever(that black triangle piece in the corner if the back of the seat) you have to push it back down to get the seat to lock up again.

Still cant see anything done to the frame. I should be getting everything sent over to me.

The tire carrier they purchased doesnt hold my spare.

They didnt replace the spare tire that was hit.

The paint job looks good.......
