What hardware do I need for first time OEM soft top install?

That's an aftermarket soft top mount, it's way different from the much easier to use factory soft top mount.

Now that it's on, it's not bad. Had a heck of a time understanding the poor quality instructions.

Ha yep Chinese to English translations are hit or miss. I won a small Chinese made 2 meter handheld radio several years ago and its instructions were laughable. I barely got its most basic functions working but its instructions were so hard to follow I gave up on getting its more useful functions to work and gave the radio away. "All your base are belong to us"
