so this may sound quite dumb but I have a 2005 wrangler x, is this considered a tj? i’ve been fixing it because the previous owner let it rot and all the forums i see call it a tj. i really have no clue what a tj is so please someone help clarify

An LJ is just the Kim K of TJs. Too much useless ass for most and they always look better with a lift.

The X model TJ is a step up from an SE 4 cylinder model. No Dana 44 rear axle option.
The TJ (96.5-06) is what Jeep identified that generation of Jeep; which is occurred before the JK ('07 - 18) and after the YJ (86-95). T

Jeep CJ = 1944 - 1986
Jeep YJ (Wrangler) = 1987 - 1995
Jeep TJ (Wrangler) = 1997 - 2006
