Which oil pump should I get?

Im going to be replacing my oil pump on my 2001 TJ in the next week or so and stopped by autozone and they wanted 82 Dollars for the melling oil pump..

Now I looked online and found some cheaper alternatives like this one...

Is it recommended to stay away from these cheap replacements? Just trying to save some money if I can. Any brands you guys would recommend?

Stick with a Melling, they are reasonably priced.

Okay ill go with that then. I found them an amazon for 52 bucks actually.
Can I use my old pick up tube or do I need a new one?

Nothing wrong with reusing your pickup tube, just clean it out really well.

my 4.6L stroker kit came with a melling oil pump and that's what I plan on using when the engine gets to the point that I think it needs a refresh...and I think I can hear the slightest ticking of some rod knock now..but the winter weather here in AZ is too nice to take the Jeep out of commission, so it may be next summers project

Nothing wrong with reusing your pickup tube, just clean it out really well.

I went ahead and ordered the melling. went ahead a got a rear main seal since i saved some money on amazon and I might aswell do it at the same time

I've installed more than a dozen Melling pumps, never had a problem, and wouldn't use anything else. Also, they offer two versions. One standard and one high volume. The standard pump is all you need for a stock engine.
