Hey I have a 2002 automatic Jeep TJ x and i took it off roading once and got water in the tranny but when i was drying off the trails the day i got water in the tranny it would make a Whining noise i got the tranny rebuilt and everything but now it is making a similar whining noise to that day it shifts fine whilst driving. Only when i change gears and am stopped it will kinda jolt when shifted. But the whining noise get louder with acceleration and I feel like when i press the gas or try to floor it really doesn't have that much power like when i first bought. Anyone know what it could be? cause the noise is getting annoying and i would like to take the jeep on road trips but i don't feel comfortable.

Well, it could be a lot of things. It could be bad u-joints, but it could also be something much more serious like your spider gears in the diff going bad, especially if you've taken it in the water.
I'd start by pulling the diff covers and inspecting them. Post pictures if in doubt.

What was done to the torque converter? Was that at least flushed when the trans was out? Lack of power transfer is normally the convertor not locking up or low line pressure in the trans allowing the clutching to slip.
