Wipers not working

I guess the wipers stopped working in the up position on her way to school this morning. I checked the fuse, it looks fine. The spray works, but not the wipers. What do I need to look at? Would it be the motor, the switch, or something else? Where do i start? I thought I had seen a tutorial talking about this, but haven't located yet.

FWIW....I had to fix the fog light multi-function switch a month ago. Is there a chance it's in the wiper section?

Pulled the cowl, checked for power and seemed to have power to the motor, so i replaced. When she left they were working. Started raining later that night and she said they stopped, but on time delay she could get them to come on. The replacement motor didn't come with a plug so i had to splice that on and i used heat shirk solder splices. It's it likely one of those just came loose?

More then likely… from what I have read the usually problem with TJ wipers is the motor goes.. since you had to “splice” i would keep an eye on that and see if it was just a loose connection.

That is my thought and the fact it immediately started working after the motor swap. The one I put in was from O'Reilly and it was the only thing they had in stock....A1 Cardone Reman with lifetime warranty for $111. Amazon has them for about $40 with the plug. Being as I'm having an issue and had to wire the plug on, I'm not opposed to returning and getting a refund. I'm just curious what others are having the best luck with?

I also don't mind looking into this plug deal more and hoping for the best, but does anyone have a wire diagram for the motor, so that I know which wire to look into?

The Pink/Black wire from the 25A fuse 4 goes to terminal 1 of the motor
The Dark Green/Yellow wire terminal 2 of the wiper switch goes to terminal 2 of the motor
The Brown/White wire terminal 4 of the wiper switch goes to terminal 5 of the motor
The Red/Yellow wire terminal 6 of the wiper switch goes to terminal 6 of the motor

Messed with this some more yesterday and it almost seems like they are sticking. I'll pull the cowl back off and look. I'm curious if the linkage is binding or if the switch has issues..... could be a faulty motor as well i suppose.

Pulled the cowl off all looked OK. Wiper am moved fine without cowl and arms attached. Put cowl back on and still ok, seemed to work. Placed arms on and they'd go, stop, go, stop.... repeat!! Pulled cowl back off, sprayed the linkage with pbr blaster and replaced everything. Short test and all worked.

My guess is the new O'REILLY A1 Cardone reman isn't working good. I'll likely replace and start with another one, clean up the linkage and use white grease or something else.

Where's best place to order and get new motor? Do i call jeep or anywhere online sell quality wiper motor?

Does rock or parts sell mopar? I will look, but if not any other good brands from them or brands to stay away from?
