I have a bit of a unique situation. I’m installing a DC-DC charger in my motorhome. It’s a 12V/30A model. To get power from the alternator to the charger and battery bank, the blue sea circuit wizard says I need 4 ga wire. To avoid buying more expensive copper, I have a roll of 2 ga left over from another project, so I’m planning on using that. However, the charger is set up for a 6 ga pin connection (ferrule)
I see McMaster has a step down pin terminal that will “convert” a 2 ga wire to a 6 ga pin.
Step-Down Wire Connectors, for 2 x 6 Wire Gauge

Is this the best method to achieve what I need to do? I think it is, but wanted to ask first.
