While I was troubleshooting why I didn’t have headlights yesterday (loose relay) I found the wiring harness that the headlights plug into has bare wires and needs some attention.

Is this wiring harness available anywhere? When I search for headlight harness I keep getting back the harness that actually plugs into the bulbs.

If it’s not available is rewiring the connector with good wire and splicing it back in the best option?

Sorry, to clarify, that connector IS what used to plug into the bulbs. I believe the left side of your picture is an aftermarket pigtail from the lights.

Left side is the KSuspension H4 upgrade harness

It looks like Dorman 84790 are the plugs for the actual bulbs. Those were replaced with the H4 harness so I am good there.

I think the bare wires/harness is the signal coming from the light switch to turn them on but I am not sure about that and haven’t had any luck with my research.

Those wires are more exposed than Kanye West's wife Bianca at the 2025 Grammy Awards. 😬
p.s. Sorry @John Cooper, I couldn't post the front pics of the "nude dress" without @Chris banning me. Feel free to delete this if it breaks forum rules. Kanye is offensive. ;)

Yes they are and looks like they have been for a while, not sure how I have missed it all the times I’ve been in the engine bay. Will do a good look over all the wiring next time I’m in there.

That's what I'm saying, that is literally what plugged into the bulbs in the factory harness. I don't see another connector on the wiring diagrams, and I replaced that exact thing by each of mine. You are actually looking for the bulb plug.

The reason it's not on the bulb is because you have the upgrade harness.

I’m tracking now.

We’ve got rain in the forecast for the next few days but I’ll go ahead and grab those Dorman so I’ll be ready when it dries up.

Thanks
