Usually violet/white is for reverse although I’m sure that’s not the only use case for it. So definitely trace it. Maybe test that connection if any copper is exposed and see if it lights a test light in reverse.
I just left the house but as soon as I’m back in 10-20 minutes I can share where I’m finding stuff. I found the connector I sent by searching the PDF for “dimmer switch” because I noticed they call the high beam wire dimmer switch high beam output. One of the results brought me to that connector table and that is in a long list of all the vehicle’s connectors.
It was flat towed at some point. Bumper is setup, air brake hose & bracket intact. Jeep/trailer light wiring is still under the Jeep. I see holes drilled in both bumpers (Currie) but no wiring obvious - I'll look closer. I'd guess aftermarket fogs and reverse. I dunno why they'd remove them unless they were big bucks at sale time. The wiring I'm seeing doesn't appear to be too much of a chop job but it could be cleaned up.
There's a simple, working 'horn honk' alarm with fob.
I'm looking at the two cluster connectors, there is a G300 circuit called front locker indicator switch sense. Any idea if they would have tapped into that? It is a 20 gauge Violet/White.
2006 uses white/light green for backup so I'm guessing it's the locker thing that you are seeing. Must have been the older rigs that used violet/white or violet/black for backup lamps.

The tapped v/w was power to CB that I cut off earlier. Was ignition only. (I already wired up my Kenwood GMRS the right way). No clue why they chose that one if it is diff lock.
I'm gonna run off G/W from driver side HB and call it good. Already have to run one wire, two is no worse.
