Quick question, the NV3550 needs special fluid in it right? I'm not sure if whoever had it before me put the right stuff in it. Is it a big no no to run it on non-spec oil?

Ya, do not run off-spec fluid. I would recommend the redline MTL. Others have had good luck with syncromesh and what-not but mine did not like it.

MTL or the Mopar fluid, but mopar is $$

The Red Line MTL makes all the difference in the worls. Most lubricants don't jive with the syncros and the tranny will grind when shifting. I stubbornly tried regular gear oil, colossal fail.

I refuse to believe that it came with that much play in it from the factory. The AX15 is such a better design.

can i put the ax15 in a 2004 2.4l SE?
