hi guys

i just recently purchased a 04 Wrangler X 2.4 5-speed. After 2 wk driving, cluster one day just decided stop working

i do not get No Bus message, in fact all lights (check engine/ no fuel/ blinkers/ high beams etc) are working but gauges.

when you engage the ignition all lights come on and fuel needle moves a bit, so does oil pressure and temp...only a bit of movement
no message on odo, no rpms, no speedo.

jeep drives normally.

obd2 is reading confirmed by my obd reader live data.

checked fuses, wires, grounds... bought another used cluster off ebay (no joy) tried a junk yard ecm which did start the jeep with no issues still gave me the issue, also tried another airbag module (following the ecu wire) no joy....

i dont know what else to do? am i missing something?

thank you in advance for all your suggestions

cheers

Download the Factory Service Manual for your year from the resources section. Section 8w has the wiring diagrams. I'd do pin to pin continuity and ohm checks from the dash cluster connector to the PCM connectors.

I'd check for corrosion on both the cluster connector...there is a TSB on that by the way...and the PCM connectors.
