I support the originators of products and not those who make cheaper copies. Buchanan came out with them first and he does a very nice job providing quality hardware, clean work, and delivers a very nice product. I've used many sets of his over the years and will continue to do so even those as most can readily surmise, I'm more than capable of making my own or even making them as a product to sell.
When you've had as many original ideas ripped off that I have, it becomes a sore spot after awhile and those who originate things should be supported unless you have a way to improve the product.
I don't expect that to make a difference to everyone but if such things matter to you, Buchanan was the originator.
All reasons I have bought all the risers from Buchanan. Most were bought through email communication with Buchanan. Really great guy. Per the BPM website:

Over the last 29 years, one of BPM’s primary customers has been the US Navy and the RAM Consortium of Port Hueneme, CA. BPM has made numerous external and internal parts for the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) System, a Ship Defense Weapons System. BPM has always delivered a workable finished product, as opposed to “exactly what is called for by the print.” Too many times the inadequacies of Civilian Engineers with little or no actual field experience have reared their ugly heads and necessitated “on the fly” modifications, which if not done would have resulted in unworkable parts, unmet due dates, and wasted Tax Payer Dollars.
