didn’t do anything “to” the jeep, but did this “with” the jeep yesterday. The boy was bored so we grabbed a couple fishin poles and hit the dirt roads and stopped at a few creeks to wet a hook. The water was high, muddy and moving fast from all the recent rain we’ve had so we didn’t catch anything but we had a good time and cured his boredom.

That is awesome- kids need that , and so do grownups.

Love the wheels

And the dog
Thanks man- I’ve got 2 - Roscoe Is amazing at riding in the back of a pick up truck- he will walk across the tailgate going down the road-the other one is Buddy, he is a machine- @Hog can tell you. Wasn’t a heeler/cattle dog guy, totally respect these breeds now.

I installed an animal repeller under the hood of my LJ. It's been sitting there loosely (in a safe spot) for a while but I finally mounted it. I used 3M body molding tape.

It's hard to say how well or even if these things work but I think they do. It emits a high pitch sound that drives away animals. It's not supposed to be audible to humans but that's not the case. I can hold it up to my ear and I don't hear a thing ... but I'm old. My late 20s sons can both hear it from about 10' away.

The good news is that I have them in 3 Jeeps and 1 trailer and they're all animal free ... I think.

Rodents in vehicles are a huge problem these days- I’ve heard soy based wire sheathing attracts them, but wonder if it is just the population density going on- Every time we build a house for us we build a house for dozens of them.

Did some welding on my rear bumper project at my neighbors house, got most of it done. wasn't pretty so no pics. LOL. Went to tack it to the stand off brackets on the jeep , thankfully it didn't hold. I trapped the bolts I used as locator pins and also realized my stand offs are different lengths(?) so back to the drawing board(the Bridgeport at work). Also stripped one of the HOLES (I Would have thought the bolt would break) in the diff trying to get the bolt to 30 fucking foot lbs:mad:, gotta get a longer bolt. Do they need to be grade 8?

I've heard of people who have had to pay thousands of dollars to replace wiring harnesses because they were soy covered. I don't know what the manufacturers were thinking and I don't believe it's still done.

I've never had any damage but I once had mice build a nest in the glove box of of an XJ that sat for a winter while I was working on it. I picked up another XJ as a parts car and found the same thing.

Would that hold up just on the corner seams?
Best option is to cut the seam seal with mineral spirits.. 3:1. Get it to the consistency of olive oil. Then use a brush to apply the mix, working it into the seam. I use those cheap disposable brushes. Absolutely good on the corners. It stays really flexible without getting lumpy. Let it cure good and you'll be golden
