Damn, here we go again!

We need to question why OME is the only spring manufacturer that does this?
That's so true. We never bring this up when people are asking about springs in the 2-2.5" range. We usually just recommend OME and move on. But is OME the only one that does this? Is it really necessary? If so, it's another reason to go with the OME over BDS or some other like H&R or MC. No offense intended toward those with these other springs!

I think they are the only spring maker that does this. The way I understand it, they does this to compensate for the engine torque load the TJ has.

No offence taken, but now I'm curious...time to crawl under the TJ again and measure the H&R springs (again). I wonder if this is a solution looking for a problem or not.

I bet you'll find that your right rear is 1/4"-1/2" lower than the left rear. Post your findings.

I am hoping that it is some engineering solution figured out by ARB for ride or something, but in all honesty it would be quite difficult to spot a quarter inch difference in height of the Jeep with the naked eye. My guess would be if it is true for StG58 to see it, he will actually have to measure it.

It is even more difficult for me to see these things because my garage floor has a progressive 5 degree downward slope out and a 5 degree downward slope from the middle to drain water, so no matter what you park in my garage it looks like the frame is bent or something.

Well, I'll be...
LF = 13-1/2" (spring length)
RF = 13-1/8" (spring length)
LR = 8-7/8" (edge of spring cup to edge of spring cup)
RR = 8-5/8" (edge of spring cup to edge of spring cup)
The rear spring cups are, what, a 1/4" deep each? So add a half inch to the measurement on each side for lift in the rear. The H&R's have been on there long enough to settle out.

Thats with a 1/3 tank of gas and the TJ sloped to the passenger side some. Hmmm...

I'll measure mine too, I've had it since April. I suspect it's right on.
 
Find level ground and measure from bottom of frame to ground. Find a common point that is universal to our TJ frames so we have somewhat of a control.

OK, here we go! '99 TJ SE with H&R springs, 31x10.50 KO2's on Grizzly rims inflated to 27 psi, nominal. The TJ does go off road, so the frame may or may not be as straight and square as it could be, 3,300 lbs. curb weight.

All measurements taken from a flat concrete slab to the point on the frame where the LCA mounts weld to the frame. In front of the rears and behind the fronts..
LF = 16"
RF = 16-5/8"
LR = 16-5/8"
RR = 16-1/2"

From the same locations as @StG58, an 05” X with 2.5”OME springs and Bilstein 5100 on 31x10.5, on level concrete.

LF 16 5/8”
RF 16 1/2”
LR 17 3/8”
RR 17 1/4”
