Is this evap leak normal?

I had a very small evap leak. Hooked up the smoke machine and found the leak right away. Plastic weld fixed the leak but now the smoke is leaking from another part. Not sure what the part is called or if it’s normal.
First two pictures shows the part.
If the part is not suppose to leak. Does anyone know a replacement part number ?

That looks like a check valve I would go ahead and clear the code and see if she doesn’t code again

That one will likely close when it’s running or the evap system is running

06’s are so prone to evap codes- I declare you can look at them wrong and they will throw code.

It’s not a problem if you LS swap it… oh wait it’s a California emissions, nothing can fix that…

That may be the evap vent solenoid. I know when I was testing evap systems I would have to command the solenoid off with a scan tool to seal the system.

Been there -I hate Evap leaks

They just give you something to do while it’s getting ready to throw an oxygen sensor code

I know a way to pass California emissions I just don’t want to pay the coin.

That's the cannister vent valve, it's open until the PCM commands it closed.
