Forgive my absent-mindedness if I've already shared this story, but I have a friend who bought a Nash Healey roadster many years ago. I just happened to be pulling up to his place as it was being unloaded off the transport truck. He had bought it off eBay without ever having seen it in person. I'll never forget how his initial excitement turned to disappointment when they tried to start the vehicle to back it off the trailer. The thing coughed and sputtered, and the entire car shook violently when the clutch was released. Ol' John was literally on the verge of tears, as he had spent a huge chunk of change on this car, and his wife was standing right there beside him to witness the arrival of what turned out to be a less than stellar vehicle. I really felt bad for the guy.
In the end, it all worked out, however. John worked it over, and it became quite the draw at our local Nash/Rambler/AMC car shows. There's a video online of John displaying the car, but he's so dry when talking about it that even as his friend, I can barely get through it. Suffice it to say that they're a beautiful and interesting car.
This is like the 10th time you’ve told this story.
Kidding, never heard it before.

Most of the Nash Healey Roadster
is quite impressive, except for the headlights being so close together in that tiny little grille which has always made me see front quarter panels instead of fenders

Interesting but he's no Block, Baldwin or Pastrana.
IDK, he's good enough to have driven his rig with Block and I think Pastrana. Whipping that 10,000 lb rig around is probably a wild ride. He also runs Pikes Peak which I say no, no I would not ride in that thing up Pikes Peak. Whipping around on flat ground would be fun. Pikes Peak, HELL NO. All I can imagine is the Evo wreck.
