My 05 tj unlimited a/c is blowing, but not cold. Fuse & relay are good. What should I check next? I noticed the radiator hose on top is VERY firm, would stuck thermostat cause it not to cool?

Is the compressor clutch engaging for a few seconds and cycling on and off.
First off… Is your a/c compressor kicking on…?
You need to hook gauges up to it and see if there’s Freon in the system… low Freon will cause the clutch do not engage
Ok. That is not something i own![]()
Should I swap thermostat since hose is pressurized?
Radiator hose shouldn’t have any bearing on AC not blowing cold… If the clutch on the front of the AC compressor is not coming on, then that’s why it’s not blowing cold air…
is the jeep running hot?
It doesn’t seem to be gauge was below 210… but engine bay was pretty hot when I popped it open
No… The radiator hose will have pressure because there is pressure in the system but if you got the proper radiator cap on the radiator, it shouldn’t be more than 18 psi… 210 is about right
Ok. Thanks. So the a/c compressor is bad?
Or just low freon possibly
