Aftermarket radiator for TJ

I need a new radiator so I will be going back and looking at this thread. The radiator in the Jeep that I just bought is pretty much completely rusted out.

The core is aluminum, but the top and bottom tank is plastic. They usually only last to around 150,000 to 200,000 miles. (Insert sarcasm emoji here).
Mine popped at about 117k but I’m pointing out there’s nothing in the radiator that will rust.

Youre saying all aftermarket radiators are exactly the same??
I just have a difference of opinion on that

Ok, good point. Either way, I think it is messed up pretty badly and it isn't cooling effectively. This Jeep sat in a garage for 3 years so it needs work. As I've learned over the last month or so, I'm pretty sure the internals on the engine block got really rusty from sitting. So, here's the plan.
1. Install a new radiator
2. Do a Prestone treatment
3. Do a Thermocure treatment
4. Flush the cooling system completely with the last 3-4 flushes using distilled water
5. Install the t-stat back and fill up the radiator with coolant to a 50/50 mix

I would do the flushes BEFORE installing a new radiator. Get as much crud out of the system as possible so it doesn't clog the new radiator.
I already finished doing that yesterday. I'm still left with a radiator full of crud. I put a lot of water through the cooling system yesterday.
I will close the outlets to keep mud daubers out.
Where did you get the fittings for the transmission cooler lines in the radiator?
I unscrewed the transmission cooler lines from the OEM and screwed them into the new one… it was set up just like the OEM…
I primarily use my TJ for off-roading/rock crawling. Wondering how this radiator does with the demands off-road. Do you take yours off-road?
My debate this morning is whether to get the radiator from O'Reilleys that was linked above and get a new radiator installed this weekend, or to wait a week and get this all aluminum and get it installed next weekend.

It's still running fine, I've been to Moab 3 more times and ran the Rubicon with it. Maybe I got a good one. But as in that thread I do carry the stuff needed for a temporary repair incase it happens again.
