Would anyone happen to know the specs for the Johnny Joints and jam nut sizes on the savvy midarms?

One of my JJs is clunking, so need to figure out which rebuild kit to order. Also thinking of getting some crows foot wrenches for the jam nuts, using my giant adjustable end wrench has been tiresome.

Pretty sure the lowers are 2.5", uppers 2", both standard width.

I just went out and bought big ass doubled ended crescent wrenches in the proper sizes at Harbor freight. You'll only need a couple. The ends are at different angles and between them I've been able to get to any jam nut on short arms, mid arms, etc

I prefer the crows foot because I can put it on my breaker bar in different orientations to get at the jam nut.

@jjvw Is a crows foot wrench the go-to tool for these jam nuts, or is there a better way? My giant adjustable end wrench sucks.

I use crow's feet on a breaker bar and I have a big adjustable crescent wrench. Whatever works at the moment.

Do you guys think a 3/8 breaker bar would be strong enough?

I've snapped one before, but it was HF..

Trying to keep all my stuff in 3/8 so I can carry less. But it seems worth investing in 1/2" for this cause.

I have this set and it’s nice and compact.

Your lug nut socket should be 1/2". Then you can weld a castle nut on the end of the breaker bar and use it for both a handle and release tool for the bottle jack.
