Should A 2005 4.0 Have An Engine Oil Slinger?

Hello out there in TJ Land. Pulled timing chain cover on my 2005 4.0. There is no oil slinger on the crank. Do you guys know if mine is supposed to have one? Factory svc man shows one in the pic, but i've noticed they are using (sometimes) illustrations from different model years...so just checking.

In my '04 parts manual it calls it out as "not required".

I did mine here awhile back and it didn’t have one either.
