what are you guys using for speakers in your soundbars? mine are shot and need replaced before spring gets here. any decent drop in replacements out there? also do you find that filling the sound bar with poly fill makes a difference? if you have links for your speakers, pls add them

thank you

Polk DB 6.5" speakers in your soundbar all the way. Your soundbar will accept 6.5" without modification so you can trash the old 5.25" junk the factory installed. Plus the Polk DB speakers have a high Sensitivity rating which means they'll sound great even with the limited power the headunit puts out.

Ok I’ll have to look those up. I don’t need an adapter plate or anything?

What amp did you go with or did you not add any subs?

I use a Pioneer head unit for the main speakers, a small outboard amp for the subwoofer. I lifted the seats, the subwoofer barely fits under the drivers seat. I made the box. It's a very small sub from Parts Express but it works great, designed for small boxes and small places.

That's a nifty sub setup! I like it! Clean install. I noticed you ported the enclosure. How did you tune it?

Here is what i did to add a sub to the TJ. Still working on sound bar options/mods to get more music (not bass) into the TJ.

Chipster, that is a neat setup on the tailgate.

One note though, you should reconsider the tail light "protector" though. The $25 tail light is alot easier to replace than if your light protector takes a hit and cave in your rear quarter panel. Ask me how I know.
