I'm replacing the subwoofer and amp, but I want to retain the stock console subwoofer enclosure. Those of you that have done this, what have you done with the factory amp/wiring? I'd like to remove the amp and wiring, but there would obviously be a huge hole in the enclosure if I did that. Does anyone make a block-off plate? Or do others just cut the wires to the amp and leave it in there?

I bought a piece of plastic sheet and a speaker connector from Amazon to block off the hole left by the amp.

Nothing wrong with cutting the amp wires and leaving it be, if you’re not putting the amp in the same place.

Just unplug the harness so you dont have open wires hangin. Wiring the amp for the sub ya gotta decide how ya wanna do it
