So, as to whether or not this was an actual Dodge Charger, I do believe that this shows that it is not:

What you see here appears to be the center post of a 4-door (sedan, I would assume) that has been cut down. Looks like the Charger sheet metal was placed over the top of a less desirable (read that as "more willing to destroy") vehicle, like a Panther platform car. I scanned through the Facebook link, but didn't see anything on the car's build. I apologize if I missed it.
