I leave it cracked to give them shelter and their food and water is in there. I love my cats and it's a compromise since they aren't house cats.

I had a guy suggest moth balls. I put them in a couple old socks and leave them on the seats to keep the strays from pissing in the seats. Haven't had any since.

I think I'm gonna try this first. I like the smell of those things anyway.

Makes sense! Perhaps if you are feeling super motivated you could construct a shelter for them near your garage? Their own lil kitty condo lol

I personally don’t like the idea of mothballs or pepper or whatever other scent deterrents, so that’s what I would look into myself.

Funny our shepherd doesn't mess with rabbits but my brothers cat would make Elmer fudd proud, he's a rabbit killer.

Came to suggest this. It works to keep rats from building nests in the airbox, I know that much.

Yeah I'd get a 12 electric fence charger and something conductive to put on the ground...

But get the dog-grade fence charger. I used the more powerful livestock-grade charger and found this one morning in the backyard.

Put tin foil on the surfaces like the seats - just lay the sheet out and drop something on it to keep it in place. Cats don't like walking on it, and its easy to move and store.
