Unlimited Towing Capacity

Do any of you wise people have opinions about a weight distribution hitch vs just getting an ant-sway setup? Current thought is an anti-sway as a few people I’ve talked to and what I’ve read to seem to recommend a WDH for trailers over 5,000lbs or so.

Weight distribution hitch will also contribute to your payload. Which from a quick look I only see 750lbs listed on Edmunds for payload on an unlimited.

Passengers, gear, tongue weight, heavier spare than factory, hard top on/off must play into that too, maybe fuel (not sure if Jeep uses full or empty tank, I've seen it both ways) count towards payload.

Nice teardrop! We looked at a couple of them, but they were pricy in CA. We are picking up a pop-up A-Frame trailer.

I drove all the way to Fl for mine. Half the price of anything here in SoCal and exactly what I wanted. Had a nice 2 week road trip and got to see the Daytona 500 again. After factoring in the cost of the trip I saved about $5K. I’ve taken 3 trips so far with it and am very happy with it so far.

We saw a really nice one, for 20K. Couldn’t walk away fast enough when I heard the price. Yes that was used.

Yes that is my thought too. Why add the extra weight if not needed.

Trailer is equipped with electric brakes.

That puts you ahead of 99.9% of the trailers pulled by jeeps.

What kind of trailer?

Looking at your title again I have to wonder. What kind of vehicle would have an unlimited tow capacity?

Abrams tank? Monster dump truck in a quarry? Or really a huge locomotive? 😜

Good catch on the title. That could have been labeled better.

It is a A-Frame pop up trailer.
