Anyone try replacing the pulley bearing on an AC compressor? Mines making noise, gets a little quieter when engaged.

If your referring to the clutch bearing it's a pretty simple replacement having done it a few times.
Is that part still available?
Better question. Can I pull the clutch off without removing the compressor?
Haven't really looked at it yet.
Fortunately it's just a generic sealed roller bearing.
Something like this. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/TEM...ETTAjbH1tSdRRwIOCz2c27U8yEIjiyKdU-iNLwNDRi3mM
Maybe because mine's '06, but that's not the right bearing. That one is 55mm, 35mm, 20mm.
Mine is 52, 30, 22.
Old bearing out, new bering in.

How difficult is this to r&r? Any special tools needed for pulley and bearing? Did you source bearing from Napa?
I'm not sure exactly if this is my issue, but when ac clutch is engaged I get some noise.
That bearing does not turn when the clutch is engaged (AC on). That bearing spins when the AC is off and the pulley is spinning but the compressor is not.
If you have noise with the AC on, it's the compressor, or possibly a slipping clutch.
Good to know. Thanks that helps a lot in diagnosis process.
