Considering taking a road trip in the MR2 this year. Don't really know where I would go, anyone got any favorite routes or stops for a solo road trip? Looking for stuff that's mostly on pavement, we're working with about 2" of clearance here.

Starting in Colorado.

Last time I did something like this I went up to devils tower and then to Mount Rushmore. I remember the drive up to devils tower had some nice canyon-y roads.

However you go , be sure to take CO-67 to 285 on your way . It was fun pushing our Taco TRD through the corners yesterday ! The MR2 would be a blast!

That is definitely a fun drive I've made that drive 3-4x in it since I got it going last summer!! But that's in my backyard so that's more of a "I feel like going on a short cruise" today type road

Edit: the road from Florissant to canon city is also very twisty and fun

What about like, Yellowstone. Can I cruise through and spend a little time to see stuff like ol faithful or does that take a lot of time

I really enjoyed the drive thru Monument Valley. Super desolate, hardly any traffic, and the desert scene was just awesome.

Could take it and go to the Grand Canyon

You could do that. It only takes as long as you want it to.

Plus it's on the way to Rick's for you.

I think I drove that last year, that was a cool drive. Unique scenery. Lots of gross crap in the rez too though 🤣 That is a good point about the grand canyon I still haven't ever been there and want to!

Then don't drive south through Shiprock on the way to Gallup NM . There is literally a piece of trash or paper every 18" in every direction for miles. Drunk driving is the local hobby as well . It is a 3rd world craphole. I would suggest seeing the Redwoods or Sequoias , however that would require a trip to Commiefonia , I can't suggest that .

Gross. And yeah people were driving weird AF in the rez in super ghetto rigged vehicles I noticed 🤣 most people were going like 10-15 under the speed limit.

It looks like the route kinda skirts shiprock. Seems like it's a lot of cool stuff but I'll have to look a little more detail to see if there would actually be time to do the things at all the stops.

Glacier NP and going to the sun is a neat drive.

i’ve been trying for years to get to Banff. but we always have the Camper.

north of here is the guernsey ruts. not a scenic twisty canyon drive. but walking the ruts from the stage coaches in the push westward was really awesome for my history loving side.

Sardine canyon and logan canyon in N Utah are all good drives. i had a canyon route i would ride the sport bike back in the day that would put a 100 miles on the bike.

what kind of time line are you thinking.

I don't really intend on leaving the country for this one. Not sure I want to go east - seems like more interesting stuff would be west??

Those are cool suggestions, look like they're kinda where I was looking already? I am thinking just doing this over a single week
