We strongly considered going that route, but ultimately decided we would prefer the route we're going (at this point in our lives) so that we can use the camper without a 40' trailer. If we were always going to take the Jeep and toys, then we probably would have. I mean, I spent some time pricing out trailers for exactly that.

For you, with grown kids, if you're traveling you're probably taking the Jeep so I can't blame you.

I told myself after my last motorhome I'd never buy another one... Then got caught up in the whole idea of a 4WD motorhome.... Should have kept my dually Ram...

I'd have a 32-36' trailer with a flab bed camper installed on the nose of the gooseneck. Then a motorcycle ramp behind it with a tilt deck behind that..So then I could haul the bike or the Jeep...
And have the truck for parts runs when needed.

But in a perfect world I'd step up to a Class 5 or 6 truck F450/550 or Ram 4500/5500 just to have that added capacity....

We also talked about, and looked into, a large enclosed 5th wheel trailer that would fit two rigs and could have a small living quarters and bathroom. But that would have been between 80-100k....so that was out! Plus it had the same drawbacks of not having a camper without the trailer.

When I win the LOTTO I'd like a nice winch bumper & 20K ComeUp winch on the front of the motorhome... Plus some traction boards... But then I'd also like a lift & larger tires on it too. But all that is gunna wait. Need MONEY first.

Assuming the motorhome has duallys, a whole bunch of winch line should do the trick. Gotta run it to both sides.

Yes if you're trying to haul two Jeep sized rigs then yes it's going to be a long trailer. Now if they SXS or Suzuki sized then you could do a little shorter.

Gotta have somewhere to hook that line to also.... Now if I was buying or building my "dream" rig it's gunna have Super Singles.

If I was sticking with a motorhome

or this

I traded my 28' RV and truck for a hammock and a Jeep.

Life is simpler.
