Yes, my neighbor has had it happen twice where the chewed enough wires that her car wouldn’t start.

watch out. A chipmonk ate through the insulation of most of the wires under my daughter's JKU's TIPM. PITA. Acorn shells all over the place and a few hours or fixing wires. not fun.
Many thanks to our enviro overlords who decided to make wiring insulation out of soy based materials instead of petroleum based.
