we had a Kiowa pilot who had his right leg amputated. if it had been his left he would have been done flying.

Don't you lock your gear in a gym locker? Or when in school didn't you have a lock on your locker?

Footlocker has your personal gear in it and sometimes personal items like watch or wallet or who knows... Pogey Bait too... All things that could get stolen.
Only time your footlocker isn't locked is then there is going to be an inspection and you're instructed to leave it unlocked...

Matter of fact getting caught NOT locking your footlocker could get you & your barracks mates in more trouble than not making your bed properly or other infractions.
