Good evening. I have a 97 TJ 2.5L automatic. It hasn’t been running for two years. We dropped the tank, cleaned it out and installed a new Delphi fuel pump. Brand new battery and terminals. The jeep has 90k miles no rust and has been garage kept. The wiring is in excellent condition. I do have fuel pressure to the schrader valve but no spark. The lights work the gas gauge does not move when the key is turned on, but voltage gauge and odometer work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

the ignition coil has a crack in it. Looks like it needs to be replaced regardless. I have a multi meter how would I test it?
Low ohms on the primary side and low ohms on the secondary side. NO resistance between the primary and secondary sides.
Worded that wrong. Max resistance between primary and secondary. No ohm reading at all just infinity.
With it disconnected its reading 1.4 ohms across the two prongs for the plug. From each of the prongs to the coil it’s reading 11.89 ohms. Both are the same reading
I read this earlier. When I turn the key it cranks over but the RPMs do not move. Is there some truth to this?
I’d call that a shorted out coil. You should read infinity from the small wires to the big fat spark plug wire.
I changed out the coil and same issue. I was testing voltage to the map sensor (5v with key on) I noticed that the Idle Air Control valve is very warm. Is that normal without running?
Nope. I'd be checking wiring.
