Happy 4th of July 250th

the Show was good. think insurance has gotten the best of them. the carnage was very minimal

think that probably ended when Tom Meents of Maximum destruction retired.

Is that one of the HOA's that requires skirting?

No the only building requirement from the HOA was a site plan showing locations of any building and I did a freehand drawing on note book paper. No grading permit needed. We put on a modular home and built a 42’x50’ garage without needing permission. Back in 2004 the Mojave county did not do building permits or inspections other than septic perk and even then no inspection on the installation. Different there now.
We had to do a lot of grading on our 2 acre lot before the build. My grading contractor told me to find a different lot because all the dirt we needed to move on our lot was going to cost a lot. I asked how much? He said $5000. I had to bite my cheek to stop myself from laughing. Here in SoCal that much work would cost way more than $50K

We finally made it to the Nashville show, and It was amazing. They used 12" shells for the first time, these dudes are impressive... 20lbs, 1200' elevation and 1000' diameter effect. They also had a drone show at the start, while cool i prefer fireworks.

We managed to get tickets to a rooftop party at the Nash hotel, which IMO is about the perfect viewing spot. I very much recommend both the show and the hotel set up...

Did y'all name him/her Fire Cracker???????  :ROFLMAO:

Congratulations!!!!!! Lord I remember when my first was born 41 years ago

We had all sorts of name suggestions for him like America kickass watson which was pretty good.
Ya I’m on the younger side for this forum lol.

Thank you guys. I can’t wait for the 4th of July party’s with him. It was funny my Friday and Saturday was originally planning on installing my flux corners and rub rails then doing my ucf diy skid. I guess he was also so excited he had to be there for it. Also feel like I need to get a 250 USA themed gun like the ruger 10/22 USA 250 edition for him when he’s old enough.

Anymore I'll take the drone shows over the actual fireworks... Larger fireworks displays aren't at bad but I'd rather not deal with any if I can...

I love a good fireworks display.

Took our 4 years old twins to their first this year —- drones would have been better.... 😨😭 We got about 10 minutes before it was too much (even with NASCAR-level ear protection).

I like the idea of both being available for folks. Drones can do some really cool stuff but I always fall back on this quote when I thinking of Independence Day:

"Celebrate the independence of your nation by blowing up a small part of it."

I've talked to a LOT of veterans and some aren't bothered by fireworks while others are... And I'm talking about combat vets who've been in the SHIT...

I just can't take all the noise..
